Henico Schalekamp is a bold and dynamic professional who embodies the strength and resourcefulness of modern-day leadership.

An accomplished Chartered Accountant, Henico began his studies immediately after finishing school, balancing them with part-time work as he completed his articles. Within just three years, he was promoted to Audit Manager, leading a division of approximately 30 employees. In 2015, he was recognised as a finalist in the Accountancy SA Top 35-under-35 CAs(SA), a shortlist that honoured his excellence in business, notable career achievements, and commitment to philanthropy.

A high achiever from the outset of his career, Henico was already heading an audit department and later his own firm by the age of 21. He went on to gain extensive experience working with leading multinational companies, overseeing mergers and acquisitions, and facilitating international trade deals. Among his many accomplishments, one career highlight stands out: successfully closing a high-profile international deal.

Over the past 20 years, Henico has been involved in a wide range of high-level assignments, including international and specialised tax opinions, business valuations, due diligence reviews, and both leveraged and management buy-outs. He has also led audit engagements for major corporates, spanning both listed and unlisted entities.
