A Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), Mohammed has 29 years of experience in taxation, risk and corporate governance. His career includes more than 17 years at the South African Revenue Service and over 12 years in the private sector, including board and executive roles at Big Four and mid-tier firms.
His expertise spans financial services, high-net-worth individuals, manufacturing, information technology and telecommunications, automotive, sports, cryptocurrency, fast-moving consumer goods and public office bearers.
Mohammed’s key focus areas include tax advisory and compliance, cross-border transactions, tax structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and domestic and international tax. He also has extensive experience engaging with tax authorities across Africa and remains active in the South African Institute of Tax Professionals’ CTA programme.
A regular speaker on tax and related policy matters, he contributes to podcasts following South Africa’s national budget and presents at regional and international tax conferences.
