Business Recovery

Our Business Recovery services support organisations, directors, shareholders and creditors in responding to financial distress, operational underperformance and insolvency risk. We assist clients in evaluating available options, developing restructuring or turnaround plans and managing formal recovery or insolvency processes where required

Why It Matters

Financial distress can develop rapidly and affect liquidity, creditor relationships, employment and the organisation’s ability to continue operating. Delayed action or incomplete information can reduce the available options and further erode stakeholder value. Early, structured business-recovery support helps decision-makers assess alternatives, preserve value where possible and manage difficult processes in an orderly and compliant manner.

Restructuring

Our restructuring services help organisations address financial and operational pressures while seeking to preserve viable business activities and stakeholder value. Explore our restructuring services below.

We assist organisations in assessing and implementing financial, operational and ownership changes intended to improve stability and sustainability. Our work may include options analysis, cash flow assessment, stakeholder planning, cost restructuring, refinancing and implementation support.

We support management and stakeholders in developing practical turnaround plans for underperforming or distressed businesses. Plans focus on immediate liquidity, operational priorities, accountability, performance monitoring and the actions required to restore viability.

We develop structured frameworks for designing, testing and controlling prompts used within approved generative AI applications. These frameworks support greater consistency, relevance and reliability while addressing data restrictions, user responsibilities and human-review requirements.

We design and implement AI-enabled tools and agents to support defined operational, analytical and decision-making processes. Solutions are developed with consideration for data availability, process integration, security, accountability and appropriate human oversight.

We automate repetitive and rules-based activities within business workflows to improve efficiency, consistency and scalability. Automation is implemented within defined processes and supported by appropriate controls, exception handling and management oversight.

Insolvency

Our insolvency services support stakeholders in assessing and managing formal business-rescue, liquidation and insolvency processes. Explore our insolvency services below.

We support the controlled administration of liquidation processes, including asset, creditor, reporting and statutory workstreams. Formal appointments and reserved insolvency functions are undertaken by appropriately authorised practitioners in accordance with applicable legislation.

We provide financial and operational support in connection with business-rescue proceedings, including viability assessment, cash flow analysis, information preparation and implementation planning. The business rescue practitioner retains the responsibilities assigned to that role under applicable legislation.

We advise directors, shareholders, creditors and other stakeholders on the financial implications and available options arising from actual or potential insolvency. Our work supports informed decisions before or during a formal process and is coordinated with legal advisers where required.

We provide independent assurance over the design and, where applicable, the operating effectiveness of controls at service organisations that are relevant to user organisations’ financial reporting. Engagements are separately scoped and conducted in accordance with the applicable assurance standard and relevant independence and ethical requirements.

We coordinate authorised security testing that simulates real-world cyberattacks to identify vulnerabilities within agreed systems, applications and network environments. Testing is performed by appropriately qualified specialists within a clearly defined and authorised scope.

We assist management in designing, improving and remediating IT and information-security controls. Recommendations are prioritised according to the significance of the identified weaknesses and the organisation’s operational and compliance requirements.
