About Oliver
Oliver Bastienne is Head of the Seychelles Desk at HLB CBS Group, bringing more than 20 years of experience across audit and assurance, taxation, transaction advisory, due diligence, business valuations and strategic advisory. His career includes significant international experience, including five years in London working across the mining, oil and gas, and utilities sectors, where he managed complex audit engagements and gained extensive exposure to global financial reporting and corporate governance frameworks.
Throughout his career, Oliver has led multidisciplinary professional teams and advised clients on acquisitions, financial reporting, due diligence and transactional matters. His experience includes technical advisory on acquisitions across multiple international jurisdictions, assurance and transactional support for major investments, IPO-related audit work and engagements involving IFRS and SOX reporting requirements.
Oliver is actively involved in the Seychelles business community, serving as Chairman of the Seychelles Chamber of Commerce & Industry and Chairman of the Seychelles Business School Academy. He is also the Founder of AYES, a former Chairman of the Association of Seychelles Accountants, and contributes to national initiatives including EITI and the revision of the Seychelles Companies Act.
His combination of technical expertise, international experience and strong understanding of the Seychelles business environment enables him to support organisations with both their financial and strategic requirements while strengthening connections between Seychelles, South Africa and the wider international market.
